Everyone "gets into the act" during Reivers home court route

Council Bluffs, IA -- Iowa Western ended a four game homestand Tuesday evening (2/5/19) with a dominant 93-57 victory over Central (NE).

In a game that the Reivers eclipsed the 90 point mark for the ninth time this season, there was no selfish play; as Iowa Western saw all but one of it's 14 players suited up score.  Indeed everyone of those mentioned 13 Reivers scored more then a 2 point basket. That lone player who did not score was Nico Johnson; however Johnson still made an impact as he unselfishly attempted no shots while dishing out a game high 3 assists for the Reivers.

With the win, Iowa Western moves to 20-5 on the season; marking the eighth straight season the Reivers have reached at least the 20 win mark. In the continuing proud tradition of Iowa Western Men's Basketball; the victory also establishes that the Reivers have climbed to at least the 20 win plateau in a single season for the 19th time in the past 20 years of Reiver basketball.

Caleb Huffman led all scorers with 22 points, 15 of those coming in the second half, as the Reivers pulled away from the traveling Raiders and slowly continued to add to it's 12 point Iowa Western halftime lead. Christian Bentley (13 points) and Emmanuel Ugboh (10 points) rounded out the double figure scoring for Iowa Western.  Several Reivers just missed double figure rebounding totals, as both Ugboh and Parker Hazen grabbed 9 reounds apiece while Esahia Nyiwe pulled in 8 boards as well.

After finishing off a mini four game homestand in style; Iowa Western returns to the road as well as to ICCAC Conference play this Saturday evening (2/9/19).  The Reivers travel to Norfolk, NE to take on the Hawks of Northeast.  Tip time between the Reivers and Hawks is slated for 7:00pm.
