Council Bluffs, IA -- The Iowa Western men's basketball team ended the Holiday Inn / Hampton Inn Reiver Reiver Classic with a 107-72 victory over Dakota College at Bottineau; and in doing so won their invitational classic.

After Friday's games, Cloud County (KS) and Iowa Western still remained without a loss for the weekend classic, and when DMACC (the team Iowa Western beat Friday: 88-81) won a tightly contested 3:00pm game earlier in the day over the Thunderbirds of Cloud County by three points, it opened the door for the Reivers to win the classic outright and remain the only unbeaten team of the weekend.

Once again the Reivers came out of the gates quickly and by intermission where ahead 53-33. Iowa Western bettered that halftime offensive total by one point to end up with a season high 107 points; marking the third time in five games the Reivers have eclipsed the century mark during the young season.

Unselfish play was one again the rule of the day, as Iowa western had 20 assists to it's 46 field goals. Christian Bentley and Travon Broadway both dished out 6 assists of their own as the Reivers had 11 roster players score in the contest. Iowa Western was led in scoring by Caleb Huffman's 20 points; while Emmanuel Ugboh (17pts), Parker Hazen (16pts), and Broadway (10pts) rounded out the double figure scoring.  Ugboh collected another double-double with 12 rebounds to go alongside his 17 point effort, while Seneca Louis also grabbed 10 rebounds in the affair.

The Reivers return to the court this Tuesday (11/13/18) night to finish off a four game homestand against Southeast (NE). Tip-Off is slated for 6:00pm from Reiver Arena.
