Council Bluffs, IA -- Iowa Western concluded a mini-homestand of four straight games at Reiver Arena with a similar result Tuesday (11/13/18) evening with a decisive 93-61 victory over visiting Southeast (NE).

The Reivers showed their collective depth once again as three of the team's five double figure scorers on the evening came from off the bench; including Amadou Sylla's game high 18 point performance.  Andre Silva (18 points), and Marques Watson (11) points along with Sylla were in double figures for the "2nd Wave" Reivers.  Caleb Huffman (14 points) and Travon Broadway (12 points) rounded out the starters that landed in double figures for the Reivers.

Once again, a dominant effort in the first twenty minutes was the story of the day; as the Reivers entered the halftime locker room up 50-23.

Two Reivers ended up with double figure rebounding efforts, as Iowa Western dominated inside and on the glass; outscoring the Storm 62 to 12 in the paint . Sylla collected his first double-double of the season with a game high 14 rebounds to go with those aforementioned 18 points, and Esahia Nyiwe grabbed an additional 12 boards, often times triggering the Reivers fast break, which for the fourth time in the last five games has passed the 90 point total.

Tuesday's game marked the sixth contest in just twelve days to open up the 2018-19 season for the Reivers.  Iowa Western is now off this weekend and returns to the hardwood Monday (11/19) evening to take on Northeastern in Sterling, CO; where the Reivers will begin one of the toughest stretches of the non-conference portion of their schedule.  After visiting the Mile-High State, the Reivers will compete in Kansas as part of the Cloud County Thanksgiving Classic, where they will face Pratt (KS) Friday (11/23/18) and then the host team Cloud County (KS) Saturday (11/24/18).
