Sedalia, MO -- #17 Iowa Western (18-3, 2-0) gave up 62 points in the first half of it's non-conference tilt with the homestanding State Fair Roadrunners (16-4), and could never quite catch up in the game's second frame; as the Reiver suffered just their third loss in 21 games.

Trailing 62-41 at intermission, the Reivers showed resolve and a competitive spirit in the second half; eventually trimming the lead to just five points with 1:36 to play. However, that is as close as they would come as State Fair iced the game with free throws and a breakaway basket late to ultimately conclude with a 102-91 victory.

State Fair (MO) was led in scoring by Tyreek Scott-Grayson's game high 33 points, and Andre Walker's 17 points.

Iowa Western was led in scoring by Patrick Dembley's 26 points, and Decardo Day's 16 points. Shadeed Shabazz and Jevon Smith added 14 and 13 points as well to round out the Reivers double figure scorers.

The Reivers return home and re-enter conference action against Southeastern (18-4, 2-1).  The contest between the Reivers and Blackhawks tips up Wednesday night (1/24/18) from Reiver Arena at 7:00pm.
