Council Bluffs, IA -- #22 Iowa Western returned home to Reiver Arena Tuesday night (12/12) after three straight road contests to play Kansas City-Kansas for the final home game of the first semester schedule.

The Reivers (14-2) opened up the contest with a first possession that had three offensive rebounds in it before Isaiah Wade finished the possession off with a put-back basket.  The game's opening possession would prove to be a reflection of the entire game, as the Reivers collected 20 offensive rebounds and outscored the visiting Blue Devils in "second chance" points 23-8. Spearheading the rebounding effort was Isaiah Wade who ended the evening with another double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, with six of those coming on the offensive end of the floor.  Iowa Western outrebounded KC-K 47-29 overall; Wade's 12 rebounds for the Reivers was actually not even the team's leading effort; Emmanuel Ugboh pulled down a game high 13 boards.

Besides the rebound advantage, Iowa Western caused 23 turnovers to just their own 12 giveaways to outscore the Blue Devils 23-12 on points off turnovers. Patrick Dembley scored 23 points and Shaun Doss chipped in 10 points as the Reivers other double figure scorers for the evening along with Wade.

Kansas City-Kansas' Soloman Thomas matched Dembley's game high 23 points for his Blue Devils in a contest that the Reivers never trailed in from the aforementioned opening possession basket.

Iowa Western concludes their first semester schedule with a trip to Estherville, IA to play the hosting Iowa Lakes Lakers.  That game is slated for a 7:30pm tip.
