Advance Ticket Purchase Encouraged for Saturday's NJCAA Semi-Final in Council Bluffs

Council Bluffs, IA

Iowa Western's Athletic Department is encouraging fans coming to Lewis Central's Titan Stadium, 3504 Harry Langdon Boulevard, in Council Bluffs on Saturday to purchase tickets in advance.  General admission tickets are available through the NJCAA's website and are available for $15 each.  Tickets may be purchased at the gate, but the price will rise to $18, as #1 Iowa Western hosts fourth ranked Snow College in the NJCAA's inaugural football playoff event.

"We're excited to host this historic game and we want to make sure the stadium's packed," said Reivers Head Coach Scott Strohmeier. "Our fans really are the best, they've traveled all over the place and really made the atmosphere at our games in Georgia and Utah something special.  To get that kind of support that far outside the state of Iowa speaks to these young men and the people that surround them."

A free tailgate is set to begin at 1:00 pm in the parking lot to the north of the stadium and is sponsored by Barley's Bar & Grill in Council Bluffs.  Kickoff between the Badgers (7-1) and the undefeated Reivers (9-0) is set for 2:30 pm.  The game can be seen on the NJCAA website for a fee and can also be heard on Iowa Western's 100,000 watt FM radio station, 89.7 the River, with the 'Voice of the Reivers', Jake Ryan, on the call alongside Russ Nelsen.

The game can also be followed on both Twitter and Facebook.

Questions about the game or activities surrounding it can be directed to the Iowa Western Athletic Department at 712-325-3418 or by emailing Athletic Director Shane Larson (shane.larson@iwcc.edu).
