Reivers Take Last Three at Southeastern

Council Bluffs, Iowa

The Reivers headed across the state to face off in a four game weekend series vs Southeastern Community College.

Game one the Reivers struggled to fine runs on the offensive side. The offense had 6 hits and scored 2 runs. On the defensive side Peyton Zabel threw 5 innings, allowing 4 hits, 3 earned runs and recorded 6 strikeouts. Samson Holcomb came in relief in the 6th inning throwing 1 inning while facing the minimum. Reivers lost game 1: 4-2.

Game two the Reivers bats were quite again. Recording 9 hits in the 9 inning battle. Davyin Johnson led the way for the offensive with solo home-run in the 5th inning. Defensively the Reivers shutout the Blackhawks with Harrison Cook leading the way throwing 6 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits, 3 BB and 3 strikeouts. The bullpen came in and shut the door in the late innings. Jake Leger faced one batter recording a strikeout. Grant Hubka recording 1 inning with 3 strikeouts. Noah Manning closed it for the Reivers throwing 1.2 innings with 1 strikeout. Reivers win game 2: 1-0.

Game 3 the Reiver offense struck early scoring 1 in the top of the 1st inning. In the 4th inning Brady Prewitt opened up the lead with a 3 RBI bases clearing double. Evan O'Toole threw a scoreless 4.2 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5 batters. Brant Hogue came to finish the game throwing 2.1 scoreless innings, striking out 5 of the 7 recorded outs. Reivers win game 3: 6-0.

Game 4 Coach Rardins offense came alive recording 18 hits in the 9 inning game. Alec Patino records 4 hits in the game, Dylan Robertson and Davyin Johnson record 3 hits and 2 RBI's each. Conner Mackay throws 6.1 innings, allowing 2 hits and records 9 strikeouts. Caleb Riedel came in relief throwing 1.2 innings with 2 strikeouts. Jake Leger came in to close the door on the weekend, throwing 1 inning with 2 strikeouts. Reivers win Game 4: 12-2.

The Reivers move to 24-5 on the season and will be back in action for a home ICCAC conference doubleheader against Southwestern Community College on April 6th . First pitch scheduled for 1:00 pm at Doc Ross Field.  Both games can be watched on the Reiver Sports Network.
