Region XI Tournament set, Reivers looking for 25th Tourney Title

The 2018 Division 1 Region XI Baseball Tournament commences on Friday, hosted by Indian Hills Community College. The 44th edition of the Iowa Western Reivers' Baseball team is red hot entering postseason play.

Coach Marc Rardin's squad has won 29 straight games and are 47-3 since dropping a season opening double-header to Crowder on the road.

The Reivers bring the number 1 ranked ERA in the country with a 1.95 mark in the category, led individually by Sean Chandler's 1.04 mark.

The Iowa Western offense ranks in the Top 10 in batting average, ranking 9th at .359 and 7th in on base percentage at .470. The Reivers also rank 21st nationally in slugging percentage.

The action starts with the the top seeded Reivers facing Southwestern in Game 1, followed by the #2 seed Indian Hills facing Marshalltown.
