King Joins Reiver Soccer Staff

Council Bluffs, IA: Head Coach Adam Sanchez announced Monday the addition of Kyle King to the 2019-20 Reiver Soccer Staff.

King will be tasked with training goalkeeper, recruiting, and assisting in all facets of the program.

King recently served as an assistant coach at Buena Vista University from 2015-2018, and a graduate assistant coach at Iowa Lakes Community College from 2012-2014.  He is a 2012 graduate of Briar Cliff University in Sioux City where he was a member of both the men's soccer and tennis teams.

"I greatly appreciate the opportunity to further my coaching career at IWCC," says King. "From my own stand point, I was a goalkeeper while at Briar Cliff University, and I'm looking to bring a defensive foundation to the program.  I wish to further assist our keepers' abilities of communication, team organization, and a deeper understanding and appreciation of the game."

"I am excited to add Kyle on staff. He is familiar with our program and our competition, knows our recruiting landscape, and is an extremely hard worker. His knowledge and experience will be of great worth to our students", added Head Caoch Adam Sanchez.

King has his Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern California University. He holds an undergraduate degree from Briar Cliff in both History and Psychology.

King currently posseses National D License from the US Soccer Federation as well as Goalkeeping Licenses 1 and 2 from the United Soccer Coaches.

The Reivers will look to defend their ICCAC Conference Championship, Region XI Championship, and improve on their 2018 National 3rd Place Finish. Fall 2019 matches can be viewed live at www.njcaatv.com/iwcc. Match updates can be found on Twitter at @ReiverWSoccer.
